Lively Last Session of Spring Term
July 15, 2015
Family Wellness Event 2024 – A Day of Health, Connection, and Fun!
November 19, 2024Honestly, we all procrastinate about taking action on our children learning the Igbo Language. Especially, the children in the Diaspora across Nigeria and across the world. It was actually in conversations about this problem that Igbo Hearts was founded.
Our founders, Dr. Obioma Ezekobe-Orji and Jennifer Ozumba challenged their own procrastination by starting to teach their own children Igbo language and culture. Then they thought, “why don’t we get our friends children too…”. The rest is history as Igbo Hearts is now in its 5th year, with a brand new website and launching its #ClassroomAcrossDevices on Zoom. We now have children of families from across the world joining in for Igbo language and culture lessons.
As parents, we must do our little bit to ensure that our the language and culture of the Igbos doesn’t fade away. Our generation must strive as the generation before us did to preserve our heritage for generations to come. Your little part could just be signing on your child or children to our Sprint Term.
It was the legendary author of Things Fall Apart, Prof Chinua Achebe who once wrote that:
“Every generation must recognize and embrace the task it is peculiarly designed by history and by providence to perform.”
Towards playing our own part in this generation and to encourage you to do the same, we are offering a discount for families to join the our Spring Term lessons this Sunday 21st February 2021 starting at 5pm UK time. To get this offer, you only have to follow these seven easy steps:
