About us

IGBO HEaRTS (with a play on the words HEART (obi) and Herts (Hertfordshire) was born out of the passion and determination of two women to raise their kids to know their Igbo language and heritage. IGBO HEaRTS aims keep the Igbo language, culture and traditions alive in the younger generation in Diaspora. A beautiful fusion of the English culture and Nigerian (igbo) heritage makes for a well grounded upbringing of children who have an awareness of their identity, giving them a sense of belonging while ensuring integration into the society we all find ourselves in.

IGBO HEaRTS is a non-profit social enterprise dedicated to championing projects and events that promote Igbo language, culture and community among individuals and families living in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom and neighbouring counties.
